We ran with Ray!

The boys in Scoil Assaim have been completing a daily mile to keep active! Their fitness was put to the test with a visit from Ray Darcey who joined the boys running their daily mile! Five boys from each class ran with Ray, while the whole school cheered on! Later that day, two of the boys and Ms Fox got to speak to Ray on his RTÉ radio show live from St.Annes Park where more running was taking place!

Australian Penpals

Third Class are looking forward to hearing back from their pen pals in Perth, Australia.

They posted off their letters this week to our link school there.

Operation Transformation!

Scoil Assaim are fit as can be after a great few weeks of Operation Transformation! Every day after small break, the whole school participated in bursts of exercises lead by Lisa on the microphone, and a few helpers each day to demonstrate the moves! The boys made great progress with their fitness, and had great fun too! Well done Scoil Assaim!

Book Worms!

Scoil Assaim celebrated World Book Day on 7th March with lots of fun activities! There were some interesting students to be seen, as lots of boys dressed up as their favourite book characters. The entire school participated in some DEAR (Drop Everyhting And Read) Time at the same time. It was so quiet as the boys delved into the worlds of their books that you could have heard a pin drop!

Peace Proms

Peace Proms

A group of 33 boys mainly from fourth class and some sixth class boys participated in the 2018 Peace Proms in the R.D.S. on February 4th.  The choir of boys worked very hard for several months on a variety of songs with moves.  It was an excellent experience to be part of  a choir of 2500 children with a full orchestra.  The concert itself  offered a great selection of music from classical, modern and dance.  Our boys thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and were an absolute credit to the school.
