Hurling is very important to the students of Scoil Assaim with both our Senior and Junior teams competing regularly at a high level in Cumman na mBunscoil.

Both teams have been training hard at lunch times weekly in preparation for the season ahead. The hurling season is just coming into full flight and the seniors are hoping to replicate numerous teams before them and make it to Croke Park. In the first game of the season they overcame St. Fiachra’s N.S. with a score line of 2-6 to 1-4 to get their campaign underway. A great start!  The junior team’s confidence is growing every week and they had a convincing win over Naomh Mearnog where they managed to score an amazing 7-8. Mark Farrelly was the deserving captain of the day.

This is an impressive start for both teams and we look forward to embracing the new challenges that await us. Watch this space!
